I am doing my yoga classes at Pure yoga at the centrium. Really enjoyed the class on Thursday - it is only an hour session, but felt really good afterwards.
However on Sat i managed to sprain my knee, so am currently resting it and yoga is out for the time being until my knee strengthens up again. A bit annoying but never mind.
We had our 20 week scan yesterday and everything was as it should be and i was measuring okay for my dates, so really relieved about that - another milestone passed!

almost 1/2 way there
I have my 20 week check up next Mon (Emma, I guess we are 1 week apart!) and I'm excited to be 1/2 way there. Most prenatal yoga classes seem to be in the daytime so I probably won't make it after all. Has anyone started planning for their baby showers? I have no idea what's suppose to happen (do you plan it? do friends throw it?) but I'm already thinking of making a baby registry. One might as well ask for more pratical items, in my opinion, instead of ending up with 20 cute but useless sleepers that baby will outgrow in 2 months.

This is our first and i'm having our little girl at Pamela Youde. She's due on Jan 3rd, which I can't believe is coming so soon. i haven't started shopping yet - but everyone else has for us!

Just had my 20 week checkup and complete scan, which went well and everything is "lovely" as the doc keeps saying. However, I asked about the birthing plans and he told me he's pro epidural and will consider a episiotomy. I want to have a natural birth without (hopefully) both those procedures so I will have to talk more extensively with him about the birthing plan. I really like my OB (Dr. Danny Leung at the HK Sanatorium Hospital) so I don't want to change doctors for the birth.

Finally am able to get online and do something productive other than lying in bed suffering through my morning sickness.
My 2nd is due March 5, 2008 - glad to see this group is so active!
Yah, morning sickness sucks and Lolipop's suggestion of chewing gum works for me and lots of carbohydrates.

Hi ladies,
This is our second one and EDD is 16 Feb (a dayafter yours Miaka). Has everyone found out the sex of their baby? We have not as my husband thinks it's best to keep it a surprise (like we did with out first born). Our kids will then be about 1.5 yrs apart.
I would like to go shopping for a new bedroom set for our daughter and then pass on her old cot to the baby. Any good ideas on where to do so???

We knew it was a boy basically from the time he was concieved (since it was an accident) and the doctor confirmed it at our 12 week scan and again at our 20 week scans so there's almost not doubt about it

So far we have not bought anything at all for baby and i am nearly 22 weeks. We have been looking at prams a few times and have a short list and then i think the next thing will be the cot - as they seem to be the two biggest purchases. I know once we start the ball rolling with baby things we will not stop spending so probably just as well we are holding off for the time being. I think actually buying things will suddenly make it seem a bit more real and scary!!
We have just booked into our antenatal classes at the Matilda as well, they start 8th October i think, am quite looking forward to them.

Have finally passed the first trimester (is it me, or is it as slow for everyone else?) and the OSCAR test results came back negative yesterday. So finally I feel like I have the all-clear to share the exciting news with others. (Just told my own family yesterday and will tell in-laws this weekend!)
My due date is March 18.
About determining the gender, can you really tell at 12 weeks? Does anyone know whether that's only possible with a 4D u/s machine? My OB (I'm with Dr. Philip Ho) only has the regular (3D?) one and didn't volunteer any info at the last u/s. Will they tell you once they know? Or do OBs generally wait until you ask them (just in case you want to keep it as a surprise?) We don't have a preference on gender but we're just really curious to know.

My OB asked us if we wanted to know the gender at 12 weeks. He said he was 80-90% sure from the scan but I think that we were just lucky. Not every OB would be confident of telling the sex this early on.
We have decided we want to know the sex - I think it helps with bonding too, as well as shopping! - but the baby has decided to keep it a secret so far. Everytime the doctor tries to look, it's legs and feet get in the way!
Peainthepod - I think that the doctor will only tell you if you want to know. I go to Doctor Ghosh and he said he would be able to tell us at 12 weeks.
My sister-in-law also swore by gaviscon for heartburn with both her boys. Jodymo - I have been investigating classes at Annerley. Did you decide to go there?

Jodymo, u'll enjoy buying clothes for ur little girl, I sure did. Somehow there seems to be better choices for girls than boys. Those with boys, what's it like dressing them up? Am curious cos we would like to have a boy one day (we are still keeping the sex of our baby a surprise).
Falle001, I really like the MacLaren prams,they're easy to manouever and also I could fold it up with one hand.
Is it just me but it feels /looks like my belly is growing quicker with the second pregnancy than the first one? I'm in my 17th week and it is huge !!!!!
