hello ladies!

my 2nd bub is due on the 29th Jan, so no major shopping for us as we'll just re-use everything from the first ... is everyone here having their first?

I am having my first, sooooooo....... excited and a little nervous. No haven't started shopping yet, but looking forward to it :yeah2

Due on 2nd Jan ... second time round for us! I can believe how quickly it is going this time!!

I think i was so excited to see the baby last time it just went so slowly! This time i am a bit more chilled out, but also thinking oh hec, what have I got myself into ... stay in my tummy little one - at least until you are old enough to go to school - HA HA!

We have a daughter and this is a boy apparantly, so excited about that!

Where is everyone having delivery? I am at Pamela Youde!

i'm due 15 feb. this is our second. our babies will be quite close together in age (about 17 mos). i haven't decided if i want pamela youde or queen mary. my first was at pamela youde, but bc they were under renovation, they did not have any private or semi-private rooms. i definitely don't wanna do that again. if pamela youde is done renovating by then, it would be my first choice bc we live close by.

My first one

Hi, this is my first one, and my due date is 24 March. Are any of you going through morning sickness? I am still in the middle of it.. Any sharing of how to minimize the feeling? For me, I find that if I eat frequent little meals, it helps.

I found that chewing on sugar free chewing gum sometimes helped! Sounds unusual but for some reason it really did the trick (sometimes).

xx

Hi,
I am also due in 2008, my due date is 13th January and we are both very excited as this will be our first baby!!
I suffered with ms quite badly from 6-9 weeks and found mints helped, so carried them with me wherever i went! other than that i agree with eating little and often and am still doing that at 18 weeks. hope you are feeling better soon

hi,
mine is around 6th april, close to lieny i guess....this is my second one too....but i hate the morning sickness....it was not so bad with the first.....any tips? remember i have a 3 yr old with no maid so pls. give quick fixes.....the eating less frequently does not work with me.

I'm over my morning sickness now but for the 1st trimester the only food I felt ok eating was really REALLY spicey food. I hope it doesn't affec the baby too much :P I'm 4 months but already in maternity clothes. I can't fit into ANY of my clothes because I used to wear pretty tight fitting clothes so went on a little shopping spree. This is my first and I'm really excited! but still have to wait 5 months o.o hehe.

morning sickness cure

my due date is March 13, 2008 and this will be my very first one.

i found puttting lemon slices in water and drink it will help lower my uneasy feelings. pls give this a try.

i shopped for a few pcs of essential clothings, and just bought a 'belly belt'. i found those maternity clothing online are quite cost effective compare to those in shops. plus the style are more practical.

So happy for all you preggies! I was pregnant at this time last year and due date was 21 Feb but he came few days ahead on 14 Feb, 2007. I am so thrill for all of you. Enjoy every minute of it and my wish to all of you is that you have an easy delivery and a very healthy, fully develop baby.

Make sure you try your very best to b/feed for as long as you can.

I'm 18 weeks along now and have started feeling little fluttering kicks for the last couple weeks. I also feel that my tummy is HUGE although it's really not that big. It just feels like there's no room already :P I've put on about 9 lbs now although I didn't gain any weight in my first trimester. How's everyone else coming along?

Hi there everyone!

Hope you don't mind me joining...the more the merrier!!! I'm 17wks and this is my first, due 31st Jan. It's been quite smooth sailing so far...except for the headaches which are coming on quite frequently. I thought I felt slight fluttering kicks but thought maybe I was imagining things. I'm going private and will be seeing my OB on Friday to find out the gender...can't wait!!

Congratulations. Let us know how you get on tomorrow and the gender of baby. We have our 20 week scan on Monday - getting excited (but nrevous), we are not going to find out the gender though, going for a surprise!!
I am getting flutterings as well, but nothing that i am certain is bubs yet. I am just on my way to my first pre-natal yoga class, will let you know how i get on.
Take care
Emma

Hi, I am on Week 9 now, and am working full time. Wondering if anyone of you are travelling by plane during your first trimester?
I travelled about 3 times, and so far it is ok.. Can anyone share their travelling experience, and whether you think it is ok for first trimesterers to travel? Thanks !!

flying

I travelled during the first trimester, once very early on and again at about 9 weeks and both times all was well. Obs suggested moving around and flight socks and lots of water - these were just short haul (Bangkok was the furthest). i then read that you should not fly in 1st trimester, but not sure on the reasons for this. i did check & think many people fly throughout the whole pregnancy with no concerns at all.

i have just got back from the UK (18 weeks) and that was fine as well, bought the scholl black support socks and they were quite thick and actually made my feet hurt in the end, but on the way home bought 10 denier nude ones and they were much better, no swelling or problems at all.

Am planning another short haul trip in a few weeks and then back to the Uk at about 30 weeks. Not sure how comfy that one will be but will keep you updated.

Hope that helps and happy flying!
