HI Waiwaiber, indeed, there is a small entrance to YWCA at the side of OCean Shores and you will likely miss it if you are not looking hard. The classes are run by an Asian lady who speaks good english. From memory, the classes are for kids aged at least 1.5 years old to I think 3 years old. There are two streams, one running twice a week 45 mins each, and the other running every saturdat 1.5hours each. The fees are more reasonable than other english palygrounds around the area. I paid 600 for 8 classes. the good thing is you register your child on a month-by-month basis ie you have the option to pull your kid out to another playgroup or take a break at the end of the month term. The classes are mainly interactive singing with actions, a little snack time then story reading. My daughter quite enjoys the classes, but I must admit she fancies her newfound friends than the teacher, as kids do at taht age (oh yes, my daughter is 18 months old). My helper, who brings her to the classes mostly, said the classes are far better and livelier than the one run by Ocean Shroes clubhouse (you aware of such a group?). You can certainly PM me if you wish further information.
BTW, I am glad to know of a neighbour of Ocean Shores. I live in Tower 16 and am a stay home mum. I am originally from Malaysia but lived in Australia since my teens. How about you? Are you itnerested to meet me say at the playground one day with our kids? Let me know.
Ichung, you mentioned you are in Ocean Shores as well. You interested to meet up as well?
Additionally, eunice and others in the area, are you interested to set up a mummy meetup group for mummies around this area? Can we do it earlier than next Wednesday? I love dessert and coffee so anyone interested to meet me coming Friday for afternoon tea at Pacific Coffee or any of the nice cafes in Hang Hau or other shopping centres around here? Any recommendations of good places to go?
