Share with you - Ovulation Predictor Strips (OPKS)

A friend was in China last month and picked up another brand of OPKs. It had the instructions in English and it says results take 8-10 mins. That's probably why I never got 2 lines with the Davids, I never waited that long.
 
Hi Ladies,

I went to Sheung Wan to look for OPKS (brand name David?) but couldn't seem to find the TCM store so ended up going to Mannings and bought one for around $270...
I went in to one store in Sheung Wan and they didn't really understand English... If anyone knows of any other place in HK that I can get my hands on cheap OPKS, please let me know!

Also, any recommendation as to where to buy folic acid tablets?

Sorry TTC#2, I do not check this thread often. Yes you should leave it about 10 mins before reading the result, but only count the result within 30mins.

any more details of the shop in Sheung Wan?

I too was unable to locate the shop in Sheung Wan as in Kiku's case.The first shop TCM shop off the left of the MTR exit didn't seem to have it and the shopkeepers weren't able to help either since they didn't follow English. I'm not sure if I went to the right shop. Any other place where we can get it from?

There is a man there that speaks English. He didn't understand me the 1st time and he asked me to write it down on a piece of paper. Then he whipped out a box of David's from a cupboard behind him.

The clearblue OPKs are horribly expensive.With my irregular cycle i will need many strips.How good is the Davids OPK?
Someone said expensive ones are better...just waned to decide what to do.Are the Davids still available in this address in Sheung wan...anyone got them recently?

I have been using the David ovulation testers for a long time, I think it is same good as those expensive one you can find in Watson's and Mannings.

I buy them directly from China, it costs I think less than HKD3 each. It is quite popular in those Chinese fertiltiy forums.
 
Konradsmom, this suggestion was so useful! Thanks to you I was able to find the David Ovulation Tests at the shop you mentioned. So much cheaper, which was great for my first month of testing, as I used heaps of strips! :thanks
