Oct Expectant Buddies

Hello ladies. Welcome to all of you who are new.

This week it seems that I've developed a belly (I am 15.5 weeks). I wore my bella band for the first 'official' time yesterday with a skirt and have a rave review. It was so very comfortable. I am hooked.

I am keen for lunch on Friday for those who plan to go. A non-alcoholic margarita sounds very, very good.

I dont think I can join you margariters friday as it is Passover and I can't eat outside home for 8 days but I might come and have a margarita before lunch if my husband agrees to babysit, Bets, I'll sms you to tell you, ok?
I still hope to take part of the Mom Due in January 07, working on it... ;-)

Hi everyone,

Sorry I will be unable to attend the lunch this Friday due to a prior engagement. Everything went well with the 12 week ultrasound/tests last Friday so I feel relieved. Mum_Babes I hope everything went well for your at your 12 week appointment this week. I will be away next Friday for a week so I hope to catch up with everyone when I'm back. Enjoy your lunch tomorrow.

Hi Alex,

I didn't know you are planning again, do you need HPTs? i have 4 sticks here bought in US and Bkk, expiring 12/2006, 2/2007 and one expired 3/2006, but from my experience, it still works even it has expired, anyway, we don't do one hpt only, we keep on testing and testing :burnout: I can give it to you once we meet up.
 
I bought two Yummy Mummy bands, (one white, one black) and they are fabulous!

Just in the nick of time, as my belly has really popped!

MamaS, that's sooooo nice of you (and even scary: as if you know me for long: I'm one of the biggest consumers of HPTs !!! As soon as I have one day late, I keep doing some even if I know that it's not time yet, I can't help it ;-) I did 6 or 7 when I was trying to have Sasha !!) :banana:

Hey Ladies,
Does anyone have a good adress for waxing (full leg & bikini). I've tried 3 different since I'm in HK and they are all very expensive 600 to 800 HK$ and not well done (veeeeeeeeeery painful & hair grows more after, the nightmare !!!).
I'm desesperate (and so is my husband :eyesroll: )
The one who saves me (and my marriage ;-) wins a smoothie at MIX !

Everything went on well for my week 12th U/S and good to heard that yours too ! Just came back from my gynae visit today ( already in my week 15 ... wow) but baby was too shy to reveal its gender ... better luck for the next visit 2 weeks down the road .

BTW Giftqueen, how r u coping with morning sickness ? I spoke to my doc about Materna and she says it's not the cause of morning sickness ... My morning sickness seems to be wearing off this week and I am keeping my fingers cross that it's really coming to an end !

Ok then, i'll reserve it for you. Me too, bought a bunch as i keep on testing the day i missed my period. I did use 4 hpts this time.

I think i can win the smoothie at MIX, i will also PM you the number of my indian lady who does waxing, she is cheap and good compared to going to saloon, maybe Rani and I have the same lady in mind. AND if you happen to agree in house call, please do let me know if i can go to your house (if it's alright) as i need eyebrow threading too, it's just around $20 bucks so i can't ask her to come to my house. It's not convenient for me to go to her place now.

Good news mum_babes, glad to hear all is going well. I didn't know you could see the gender so early......something to look forward to for the next scan.

I think I'm going to have to follow Matty and get some of these much talked about bands...they sound perfect. Did you get your on-line Matty?

According to my doc, baby will start to develop its genital parts at week 10 ... so if the position is right during the scan , you may get to know ur baby's gender:biggrin:
 
I bought the Yummy Mummy bands online through Shop in HK (this website!).
They are $250, but they are excellent quality and a nice cotton lycra.

Waouhhhh, it's SO expensive. I bought mines at Formes in France (and it's known to be quite an expensive shop for matermity clothing) 12? (about 120HK$) and I thought it was expensive for a little piece of coton&lycra...
If you think like me, that it's expensive, you should do what I did because I wanted lots of colours but didn't have an unlimited budget: I took t.shirts of the colour I wanted and just cut the top of it (chere the sleeves are) so it would just be a tube of coton&lycra of about 30 to 40cm long. I did it in many colours so I didn't have to buy the belts ofr each of the pants I wanted to wear. Cheap & easy, specially in HK where you can find 20HK$ t.shirts in the little markets of Central, CausewayBay, etc ;-)
