Oct Buddies Weekly Lunches

Hi Ladies,

Would love to see you all to catch up and compare notes, however I'm pretty tied up with getting Rhea on track with her health. Thankfully BF has gone pretty well which I am so grateful for after everything else we have been through. As she was in the special care unit I was advised to rent a hospital pump and that was the best decision ever. Got everything up and running ready for when she returned.

This BF is exhausting, I feel like I've run a marathon everyday and the kilos are dropping off, not complaining there but struggle to keep up with my appetite as well as hers!

Hope you are all well, look forward to seeing you all soon.

hello Bets/Matty,

are you both still up for coffee on Lyndhurst this Fri? If so what time is good? I think afternoon around 3 might be nice? Anyone else up for a trip out?

re: engorgement. I found that if i missed more than 2 feeds my boobs get really hard, so best not to go more than 4/5 hours without baby on boob.

Gidget-good on you at the restaurant with baby. We tried on Sunday and have to say it stressed us out a bit. next time will bring bottle. What restuarant were you in? baby friendly?

hope to see you all soon.

So, so want to join you girls for a juice but this hip is keeping me off my feet. seeing the chiro today again and on Friday as well. Wish me luck...

Look forward to catching up for coffee with you. Was in Central yesterday with Rhea at the Dr and test drove her pram. It's great, thanks for the tip on that Matty. I'm learning that I have to be prepared for everything when taking her out. Today we were stuck at the hospital for nearly 4 hours!! All tests came back good but I was knackered after giving her two feeds with not enough snacks to keep me going.
So sorry to hear about your hips CK, lots of luck for sorting that out ASAP.

Hi Heidypie,

Should be able to make 3pm at Pacific Coffee on Lyndhurst.
Though the little one is very unpredictable!
Will see you there at 3pm tomorrow. If there is a problem I'll send you an SMS.

Cheers
Matty.

Next week

Just something to think about....

I hope to be back on my feet by next week - hip still causing me grief!! Anyone fancy a coffee, juice, lunch in Happy Valley next Thursday 2nd November. I am keen to see everyone and catch up but not sure if my hip will allow a trip to Central.

Anyway, let me know. Jaspas in Blue Pool Road do a good lunchtime special, juices, herbal teas, etc.

CK

I'm in CK, it's no problem to come to Happy Valley.
I'll check in before then to see what time suits everyone, I don't mind which.
Sorry to hear that the hip is still out of sorts.

So pleased that Rhea's tests came back with good results Sunrays

Hi everyone,

I would also love to catch up and share stories with a cuppa, but I have mum in town and can't make it this week.

Irreagular sleep patterns from Baby Stephanie have really worn me out and I'm feeling absolutely knackered.

Have a great time... I'm looking forward to catching up soon!

I'm keen for a lunch on the 2nd.
No problem to come to Happy Valley.

Looking forward to seeing everyone an hearing their stories!

Matty.

Okay, shall we say 2pm on Thursday 2nd Nov. at Jaspas, Blue Pool Road, Happy Valley? Let me know if the time suits or not.

Have been having physio all weekend and I can now walk (very, very slowly, but at least I am vertical).

CK

Looking forwards to it.

I will likely eat before I come though, I can't hold out that long for lunch these days, BF makes me ravenous. Luckily that means I'll be ready for a huge slice of cake {or two! } by then.

So glad the chiro is helping CK.

Do you know the Cantonese for 'Blue Pool Rd', or some land mark I can tell the cab driver?

The Happy Valley tram terminus is a good landmark to get out at. There's a 7-11 there and walk back towards Sing Woo Road (as if you're going back in the direction you just came from), cross over Sing Woo Road and go past The Jockey Pub....follow the footpath past the Glycel Spa and you'll see Jaspas on the right about 20 metres past Glycel. Any probs, call me and I'll come and find you.

CK

P.S. Sorry I don't know the Cantonese for 'Blue Pool Road'.

hi ladies,
lovely lunch today and thanks for the bf tips- massage has already worked:-)
Just realised mum in law will be here next week so i won't be able to make next week, i'll see you all the week after though.
Take Care,
Heidypie

Hi CK, brilliant that your hip is well enough to venture out.
Sorry that I can't make Friday, my MIL is coming that day.

Could do Thursday though, if you get no other takers for Friday, and are free.

I can do either Thurs or Fri (or both if need be!)
Hubby has his first trip away since baby was born, and I need to fill my time with as much adult contact as possible.
He leaves for London tonight and isn't back until late Friday afternoon!
So it's all up to me for a few days.

Anyone taking bets on how long my sanity holds out?

Cheers

Matty
