Malay speaking Mother and baby group

Hi MayC, I am fine with TST but are there any toddler friendly places that allow our toddler to run around? I only know Harbour City and Avenue of Star which are very crowded during weekends.
 
Ruby Tuesday at Tai Koo Shing (but may be far for May C) is a good place - there's a mini play area within the restaurant during lunch on weekends. We like to go there as we can eat in peace while my daughter plays. And if you have a discount card - the food is half price :)

The play area is removed after tea and replaced with more tables and chairs.

Unfortunately the Ruby Tuesday TST branch does not have this play area (if it's still open, I've been told that that branch is closed).

btw - I'm using my husband's name (Guan) when I log in nowadays as I forgot/lost my log-in id and password : (

Shall we meet at the KCR exit (Middle Road exit) in TST at 10am this Saturday? We will go to the playground first and have lunch afterwards. Do we need to book for Ruby Tuesday as it is Saturday?

Another suggestion is: we pack some lunch/sandwich/Maxim's/Cafe De Coral/etc and bring it with us to the playground. The children can run around while we eat. I hate to take my daughter to restaurant because it is too stressful and I won't have time to eat and chat (too busy chasing/feeding/fighting/entertaining/etc)

totally agree with WeeKean for not able to enjoy meals properly while we are in restaurant with our toddlers. And im so sorry for not noticing the said gathering is on SATURDAY when we usually have to attend the family gathering since we have a HUGE local and typical family :))

anyway, weekean i think i can come to join your mandarin group this friday, if it is still on? and maybe Peng can drop by since we will be on TOP of where u work!!

My son has class on Thursday and Saturday till 12.30p. He also takes a nap betwwen 1.30-4p. Beside those times, we're free. Please keep us informed.:bounce:

It's so great to actually get to read something in Malay and to meet fellow Malaysians and Indonesians here.
I am a Chinese Malaysian and have a 2 1/2 months old daughter. Would definitely love to meet up and eat nasi lemak and rendang. WOuld love to join in the group and meet up with all.
I will be going back to Melaka (my hometown) this Thursday till 1st of March.. but after that I'm free to meet up anytime. I have just quit my job to take care of my daughter..hehe.. so, anytime.

peng ~ WK has formed a mandarin group and used to hold it on the rooftop and i was asked to join. But they switched the location recently and would like to check with her again where is the next ones.
