t shirt in stanley
Hi! I wish you the best with your birthday celebrations
There are quite a number of shops who do the t-shirts.
They hang the shirts up right in front of the shops---I
think mostly tourists like to get a t-shirt/chop with their name
done in English and Chinese.
Tips for having a birthday t shirt made in Stanley:
1. I have used one of the shops twice and been very pleased
with their work. Don't have an address, but they are located
very close to the Watsons. They are the very first shop that
does t-shirts on the left hand side of the street. The shop
sells tourist knick knacks, but has a t-shirt desk at the front
left hand side of the shop (if you're facing the shop). Sorry
I can't be of more help with directions!!
2. I drew out exactly what I wanted on the t-shirt on a piece
of paper and showed it to them. I found it really helped when
I also mentioned things like: color of letters, size of letters.
(If I recall correctly, they have the following colors: red,
black, blue, green, yellow, orange, purple). The man hand
paints the letters/designs right onto the t-shirt. For my
son's shirt we had the following done: "Happy Birthday"
done in an arc on the chest, his name done in a straight
line across the belly, and the number 1 done with an animal
done in the middle.
3. Lastly, if you want, go ahead and mention to the man that
you were sent by the lady who did a birthday shirt and
four "grandma and grandpa shirts." I told them that the
birthday shirt was going to be in a magazine and they worked
extra hard to make sure it was exactly what I wanted. I was
really pleased with their work so I went back and did the 4
additional shirts.
Have a terrific celebration!
