Hi,

Does anyone know about German speaking playgroup in HK ?

Some of our family members are German speaking (They are in Swiss at the moment), so I just want to send my baby girl (2 years old) to a German speaking playgroup.

I hope she will be able to pick up German along her life.

Thanks.

hopefully you will find some info posted....as i need them too. my husband is german and right now my son is going to a class every saturday in a german school in new york. we're planning to relocate to hk this sept. and omitted the idea of the german swiss school ( i think)...therefore we will be in search for a playgroup on weekdays or even saturdays -maybe even turtoring. if you find out anything can you write me...i'd appreciate it!

Hi Sharon,

No problem. Will let you know if I have got something. If you have any playgroup information in the future, I will be very interested to know too.

Thanks and bye now.

Thanks Rani for your msg.

By the way, if any German parent want to let their baby learn Chinese, we are glad to do so. In exchange, we would like our toddler to learn German.

Hi,

Thanks for the information.

But my home is not near to where the school is; and the fee is very high. I can't take this one.

But anyway, thanks.

I have been looking for a German playgroup as well. If you find one, would you mind including my son in the group, he is 10 months old now.

I worked in Beijing for 2 years, I can exchange with a Putonghua playgroup.

Hello and "Guten Tag"!
We, a Chinese-German couple with a two year old son, have just recently moved to Hong Kong. Now we are living in Kowloon Tong.
If somebody of you still is interested to set up a German speaking playgroup please give us a feedback.
We could arrange a "come together" meeting in our apartment. There is still plenty of space as we didn't buy all furnitures yet.

Hi Sonja,

Guten Tag ! (Probably that is one of those very few German I can understand for now)

I am very glad to receive your reply and invitation.

We will be happy to come over.

My daugther is also 2 years old. I and my wife are both Chinese, and we speak Chinese and English.

Below is my contact :

Or if you would send me your contact, then I will try to catch up with you.

Have a nice day.

Look forward to meeting you and your family.

Is there any German-speaking pre-school playgroup update for 2006 ?

Dear All
I am new to Geobaby. I am 35 weeks pregnant. Though I am Hong Kong born Chinese (cantonese / mandarin fluent), my husband is half german and wishes our baby to know German as part of her heritage. Is there any updates on German Playgroups available in Hong Kong besides the once a month church organized event ?

Hi Claire,

Me and my husband we are both German and will be in HK for about 5 weeks starting in the middle of November. We have got a little boy who will be a year on July 22 this year. My husband will do a staff exchange so that I will be "at home" the whole day.
I would be glad if anyone could give me some ideas of what I could do the whole day with my little son?
