Hello Ladies! I am definetly planning to catch up with you after nearly 1 month of break (my looong holidays!). Is our Thursday Pacific coffee meeting still on? I am looking forward to see some of you again!

So do we have to buy drinks/snacks to bring up to the roof or is there a place that sells drinks/snacks on the roof of IFC?

Unfortunately I do not think I will be welcome along with all the beautiful people/models, as I have spent the night in the bathroom wallowing in self pity (and not a small amount of discomfort). Adam had some sort of bug last week and spent the weekend moaning in pain (he's a man - they exaggerate), then Max was throwing up everything he ate for the last three days, and now guess who has it? So kind of them to pass it on to me. Will not be leaving the house today, so can I hear the news tomorrow, Lisa? (Although I should say that I heard yesterday of yet another person who rolled up to the hospital with pink/blue clothes and had to take a very inappropriately dressed baby boy/girl home.)

Ooooh, bought my Zapp yesterday. Karen - you were debating between that one and the heavier one, yes? This one is NOT a lightweight stroller, whever the blurb says. Very cool, yes, but heavy. Also not terribly stable for a child of Max's weight (nearly 2 years old, whatever that might be), so you might want to bear that in mind. In 2 Thursdays he will be 2, so I will race you all to the IFC roof (my preferred party venue, just like Versace), but you can test the stroller.

Anyway, I have to retire to my bed again. Woe is me. See you all next week (if I live...).

Yes, it was me debating between Zapp and Buzz. I'm now leaning more towards Buzz - as you say, the Zapp is not that lightweight anyway, so if stairs are involved, I think either will be a pain. May as well get the one with the automatic unfolding and the diff seat positions I'm thinking. Will consider other options eg Maclaren but still keen to get one that takes Maxi Cosi.

Did you figure out whether the Citi fits on the stroller?
 
Geiboyi that bug doesn't sound too friendly at all!! Will bring the weeman for max next week! Woe is definitely you!! Get better and drink lots of liquid!!

Haven't tried the car seat yet, but I looked it up and it should be ok. Will be pissed off otherwise.

By the way - if there are no parties up there you should be able to get one of the harbour view bench thingies rather than having to mix with the Red bar riff raff. That might be nicer.

This seems to be a nice crowed. As I missed the great IFC event yesterday I wonder if you also have some nice activities during day time...Who is in for lunch and/or coffee next week? :bounce:

I'm still free on wednesday and thursday... so anyone?? I would love to meet other pregnant women as my friends are all single or without kids!

meeting up during the day

Dear Sandra and Moms-to-be,

I have been out of the loop with the geobaby mom groups. I have met up with some moms on Monday's in the afternoon but not sure if they are still doing that. I have been unable to go on Thurs evenings. Are you working to get some moms together during the day I would be interested. Let me know what your thoughts are.

I have just moved from Melb Aust to HK last sunday and I am 25 weeks pregnant. I know no one here and would like to meet some people, especially who can relate to my belly. Please let me know whether there is a regular cacth up.

i'd love to meet up again, but i've been in hospital yet again and have to go back on monday... hopefully i'll be able to make it out to meet you guys again soon. i'm wheelchair bound now so IFC is best for me...i'll let you know if i can get out and about again.
