Just a quick question. Have you started buying anything yet? I went to B&B and I'm a bit overwhelmed by the choice. It' seems to me that little people need a lot of things:)
I had my scan yesterday and the doc thinks it's a girl. Very excited - hubby secretly a bit dispointed as he was hoping for a boy.Mybe he is just worried about the future noise and credit card bills:)

mela - nope, we haven't bought anything yet, mind you this is our second child so we still have a lot from our first. We are waiting for confirmation of the sex first at around 20 weeks before going out and spending up big. Yes, there is so much to consider, but try and not get carried away, they grow so fast and grow out of things, you start to think later "that was not money well spent" (hard to avoid with your first though). Congrats on it being a girl, we have a little girl, and she is our little princess. xox
 
Thanks AussieMum. ENjoy your trip back home. Hopefully we'll catch up when you're back in HK, and I'm nicely settled. I'm interested to hear how you're keeping your little girl entertained.. I have Lachlan enrolled at gymbaroo over here, and he loves it. So, looking for something similar as well as play dates since I won't be working when I"m over there. Plenty of time to socialise before number two comes.
 
Hello everyone, greetings from Beijing, it's freezing here and I'm trying my best to keep warm!

I went for a scan this morning and found out that we're having a BOY!!!! OK, the doctor was only 90% sure but it was clear there was something in between the legs. Both of us are very pleased and I can't wait until Wednesday to share the news :)

See you all on Wednesday. I can't wait to go back to warmer HK tomorrow!!!

Hi yummy ladies! Just wanted to say thanks for today, it was great as usual, and to meet the newcomers too. Hope everyone enjoyed. Food for thought, we are going to organise a Junk maybe in the coming few months on a weekend so Husbands can join too, and in the coming weeks, high tea. Otherwise, will see you all in around 3 or 4 weeks when we are back form Australia! Hope everyone's pregnancies continue to travel well. xox K&E

Hello Rose and jvn, congratulations and welcome to the group! Our next gathering is on March 17th- we try to meet up every other week for lunch or tea and then every now and then on the weekends as well. Hello fellow Moms to be,

I'm a first time mother due at the end of July and would be interested in meeting other new mothers. May I join your group?

Also I need some advice. Currently I am seeing Dr. Grace Cheung at Central Health mainly because it is convenient and I am comfortable with Dr. Cheung as she was my GYN prior to becoming pregnant. But unfortunately my insurance does not cover delivery cost at a private facility. I have not yet registered at QM Hospital. Does anyone have any advice about when, how and with whom to register? Any help would be appreciated, I'm a little nervous.

I was just searching the forum for "august mums" and it looked pretty empty, and one of them recommended me to check out the "July mums", as your group seem pretty active and nice.

I was wondering if you have space for one more?

I am pretty new to HK and expecting my baby girl in August, so would love to get in touch with some more women in my situation and get involved in some baby chat and advice sharing:-)

I would love to join your group too as you all sounds very friendly and very supportive for one another, wish I had found out this site and forum earlier.

I'm due in late July, expecting our first baby. Would love to meet up with moms-to-be who live closed by Happy Valley or Braemar Hill Road or HK Island.
