Hi pinkballerina, I am 12 weeks tomorrow and I get the same pressure kind of feeling in my tummy, i've had it on and off since the begining. I think it's normal and nothing to worry about.
 
Hi dbmummy, thanks so much for your words of reassurance. I really appreciate it. It's hard not to analyse every little twinge, etc.

Congrats on hitting the 12 week mark! Are you having an NT scan?
 
angeilin, I unfortunatly do not know about any other place...always been to Pure, but I believe there are plenty !

AussieMum, I am not sure that the bubles are the baby's kicks...it sounds a little early no ? maybe it's just gas ? ...it is not regular, just once in a while...we'll see if it comes more often or not :-)

pinkballerina, I do have this kind of "pressure" sometimes too, but I don't really pay attention, I believe it is normal, everything inside is getting more packed, the baby starts to take some more space...

Hi ladies, haven't been here for a while so just catching up with all your stories.. I have signed up with Pure yoga last week and this afternoon (12.45) I am going to try the prenatal class in Central. Anyone else going? Looking forward to seeing most of you on Thursday at Isola. I can't make it for the Thursday meeting due to a work trip. Have lots of fun!! I'm having my scan next Monday and I can hardly wait.

I have been in HK about 10 months now and I am 12 weeks pregnant with our first baby. So everything is very new and exciting for us too.
I'd love to know if there are any "Mothers-To-Be" groups or baby groups to join

Scan update!!!! and Missed Yoga today!

I received the cutest card from a friend today that has a timetable for a pregnant lady on the front and says "COngratulations Mother-to-pee, err, be!" So true and lately I am forgeting EVERYTHING! I have to put everything in my iPhone or I might just be a no-show. Wow!

Anyway, I had to move my appointment earlier so my dear husband could join! So disappointed to have missed it. But also lucky to be able to get in on a cancellation at Mommy Central a.k.a Dr. Lucy Lord & Associates! Next week - I am back! So, THE SCAN: The little one was on it's head today when we first took a look. Simon asked his normal question of " And it is just one, right?" Saw a clear view of the spinal cord and watched the little acrobat in action. All is on par with the weight and growth. The next scan if the Morphology Scan in February! Yay. I asked Grace if everything was ok with my weight and other checks and she responded "Get as fat as you like - could care less until it affects the baby." Uhm, I ask the same thing every week so I deserved that comment. My weight is the same since my 11.5 OSCAR Scan.

Hi ladies,

I had my NT scan on Monday and, at only 12 weeks, the doc said that it is definitely a boy! I couldn't believe they could tell the sex so early! But he was quite sure and checked several times.

I have a friend who works at Annerley. We would highly recommend them!

MisB, the card your friend sent you sounds so cute. How thoughtful of her. Great to hear you had another great scan.

I hope the yoga went well yesterday for those who went.

Just a quick update from me. I ended up calling my OB's office this morn as I've had constant lower back pain and stabbing pains in my abdomen on and off since Monday and it is stressing me out. They've decided to bring my NT scan forward to tomorrow morning so they can check all is OK. I'm feeling very anxious about it. I'll be 11 weeks 3 days tomorrow. Has anyone else had their NT scan that early? I originally had it booked for Monday when I hit the 12 week mark. Anyway, fingers crossed all is OK.

Melissa, missed you at Yoga yesturday ! I'm glad your scan went well ! Dr Lord says the same to me about the weight...they never look at it, I handle it as I want...lol, it's dangerous, I'm quite greedy :-)

pinkballerina, don't stress too much, it's not good for your little one, I'm sure everything is fine :-)

I am so sore from yoga, I can't believe how out of shape I must be in, eek. Time to get serious, I want to eat all I want but also don't want to look like a cow anytime soon... :(
 
Hi Girls,

Just got back from my scan. Everything is looking good with the bub. I'm low risk for downs, etc. which was a relief. The Doctor can't work out what is causing my pelvic & lower back pain but he said that as long as Im not getting cramps that feel like period pain, he's not too worried. Hopefully it will go away soon. We got some really cute 3D pics of the baby that I can't stop looking at.

Thanks so much for listening to my worries and for all your words of support.

Anyway, I'll see you all shortly at lunch!

Dear All, I hope you had a nice lunch, my office is on the Peak so no way to make it down and back in time:-( I hope we can work out a late afternoon or weekend session at some point.

Thanks everyone who was able to make lunch! I was testing everyone's names in the car (going around the table in my head) and think my brain might be improving with pregnancy, I have them all down pat. Anyway, so sorry I had to run off, Em had a poor sleep inthe morning and was quite tired, so thankfully when we got home, we both had a nanna nap and slept for an hour and a half. I am feeling really exhausted at the moment, but feel much better after that. Sorry that I didn't get to chat to everyone very much (especially those on the opposite side of the table)!
Congrats Kat on the boy! How exciting. We were told ours was going to be a boy, and very excited.
It looks like the 8th is sounding good for our next catch up! My hubby, Emma and I are very keen.
Anyone any ideas on where to go, if most can make it will be looking at around 30 people including hushands/partners.
 
Hello ladies! July birth club, how wonderful. :) How did the first gathering go? Hope I won't miss the next.

Just moved to HK with a toddler and 11 weeks pregnant from Singapore. Technically my due date is in early August, but I'm having a repeated c-section on the 4th week of July.

I'm South African Taiwanese and my hubby is Aussie. Would love to get to know more mums and hope to meet for coffee, walks, yoga and playdate for my 2 year old boy.

Dear Joanne821, welcome and congrats on your pregnancy. Yesterday was great, it was wonderful to catch up with all the girls again (it was our third meet) and have updates on the NT scans. Everyone seems to be progressing well. If you wish, please feel free to PM me your email and we will add you to the distribution list for future gatherings- our next is expected to be on the 8th so partners/husbands can also meet. Some of the girls are already doing Yoga at Pure during the week, so they may be able to provide further info. I also have a one year old, so if you want further info on play dates please let me know.

Hello joanne821, welcome to the group ! Hope to meet you on the next gathering.

For yoga Classes, 5 of us (Happa, MisB, Pinkballerina, sndezwarte and I) go to Pure Yoga in Central, they have 2 sessions per week : tuesday and thursday at 12:45.

Little update: it is my 2nd day with no nausea (exept when a bad smell comes to my nose, but it's different) !!!!!!! feels soooooo good ! :yeah2

Starting my 15th week, the last one of the 1st trimester...so exited !

I definitly feels more bubbles...it's a really strange sensation, I feel like something is really unusual in my tummy...
