Congrats Zany500, and please make sure you have a safe trip back home and a very merry christmas. We missed you at lunch today. Thanks to all the girls who were able to make it, I really enjoyed seeing you all again (and some for the first time). We have agreed the next get together will be in the second week in Jan. We hope most of you will be able to come. Details will follow closer to the date in an email. Hope everyone is well - Babymo, hope you are feeling ok. We are thinking of you - do you know when your scan is?
 
That's so exciting Zany!! I'm so happy the scan went well and everything is progressing beautifully. We missed you at lunch today though :-(

Totally new to Geobaby and so glad to have found this forum! We're due beg. of July and it's our first child, my husband and I are really excited. But right now our main conscern is finding a good Dr for checkups & delivery, also where to go for our OSCAR test. So if anyone has any recommendations it's highly appreciated! Glad to meet you all & congrats to all of us!

I'm 7 weeks pregnant and am seeing Dr Alexander Doo in Central. I really like him and he has a good reputation, however I'm pretty sure he's on leave at around the time you are due so maybe not a good recommendation for you.

Other ladies in this group are seeing Dr Lucy Lord and Dr Grace Cheung and all have fantastic feedback about them. I'm sure they'll fill you in on the details.

BabeEmama- Welcome and congratulations! I JUST found out I was pregnant too and asked these ladies for a doctor rec. I ended up seeing Dr. Lucy Lord who I really liked!

Again, sorry I couldn't meet any of you ladies today! AussieMum, I sent you my email address so I would love to join next time..

Zany500- Congratulations on a great doctor's visit! I am sure that was very exciting and a great way to start off the holidays :)
Hapa808- I really enjoyed that website you posted! Its amazing how small they are at 4-5 weeks!

Thanks y'all~ It's wonderful finding a group of mamas to share the experience. So far I've lost about 4lbs due to loss of appetite, practically any smell of food makes me sick.

Pinkballerina- thanks so much for the Dr referrals! I found Dr. Lord's info on the internet, does anyone happen to have Dr. Grace Cheung's info as well? I can't seem to find her info.

Erib32- Nice to meet you & Congrats to you too! Yes I'll be making an appointment with Dr. Lord. I think I need to see a couple more Drs and decide on one. I guess my main conscern is the delivery experience, making sure that baby and I are in good hands.

Dear BabeEmama, I am seeing Lucy Lord and very happy with her. She does have a reputation for being very direct, but also extremely good at what she does. If I wasn't seeing Lucy Lord, my second choice was Dr Alex Doo. But I also hear exceptional things about Grace Cheung - she is also in Lucy Lords medical centre, Central Health (Website below), they both also work from Disco Bay and Repulse Bay, but most of their time at Central -

I hate to brag, but we are a great group of girls, and although this is my second pregnancy (I have an 11 month old), it is my first in HK so it has been great chatting about doctors, hospitals, morning sickness, other issues etc. It is also great to get to know everyone before our little bundles of joy arrive, that way we have an established group for the bubs to bond int. I think you will really find it great, and we look forward to meeting with you.

good news

Hi girls!
I put forward my sat scan to this evening! Couldn't wait anymore! Doc said baby has grown!! Still smaller if its suppose to be week 7 as wk out by mt last period date. He says I should be only 6 weeks only!!! We even saw the heart beat!! Jus about ! Still v small like a blop! But good news is its still growing ! So doc said maybe dates were jus wrong then!! Next scan in 2 weeks time! Should be able to pin pt a due date! Now its guessed around mid aug and not 4th aug amymore!

Fantastic news Babymo, well done. So happy for you. It seems the little babies keep having little growth spurts, as my first scan I was further behind then what I thought, then my next scan she had gained an extra week. Crazy!!! Anyway, all great news, very reasurring, good news about the heard beat. Well done, we are all wrapped for you!

Awesome news BabyMo. Maybe you were just meant to be pregnant the whole HK Summer, that's all! Really good news.

Ok, am in week 11 and am having the worst morning sickness ever! Was touch and go with the sickness but the 2nd half of this week has not been nice. And no energy! Plus, I have a cold.

Happy Friday. Next week is Christmas!!! Yay.
 
Hi MissB, sorry to hear you are feeling so horrible. I hope you feel better very soon. Make sure you take it easy and get lots of rest.

I'm feeling quite average myself. Morning sickness seems to be all day sickness for me and I have absolutely no appetite at all. Oh the joys!

Hi ladies, thought I'd join the thread too since I'm also due in July (27th). Anyone else located in the Gold Coast/Tuen Mun area? We're going the public route and are fine with the medical service so far (even though I'm the only gwailo I've ever seen at the clinic!)
 
Welcome WMB0709 - Congratulations on your pregnancy, I am also due on the 27th July! I live on HK Island in Pokfulam, currently seeing Dr Lucy Lord in Central and hope to deliver at Matilda Hospital on the Peak. How have you been feeling? I have been well, but just occasionally tired. This is my second pregnancy (I have an 11 month old daughter) but my first in HK. There are around 12 of us in this thread at the moment. We are currently meeting fortnightly, but our next meet won't be until the second week of January. The grils are just lovely, and I'm finding it really great talking to them about similar feelings and issues. If you would like me to keep you updated of our gatherings, please feel free to send me a PM and I will add you to our distribution list. Hope you are well!

Just wanted to say hi from Normandie ! the flight went fine, I'm completly jet lag...but everything is fine.
It's freezing cold here....I forgot how cold it was in winter !
