Due Date - March 2015

Fantastic, congrats!
I've just tested positive, probably around 6 weeks - so it's super early, but still excited!
EDD estimated at 27/3, will see OB next week & will find out more then.
How about you? How are you feeling so far?

Hi K.Kong,

Thanks for your reply and greeting. I am now 7w+3d, last Sat went to see my OB for the first time, had ultrasound test to check baby's heart beats, everything is so far so good. Will wait till 10-12 weeks to do NIFTY as been recommended by my OB. Earlier I was suffering from nausea in the earlier morning everyday, but now is ok. My due date will be around 15th.March, we are quite closer to each other. We can share more info in the future. You live in Tung Chung? Are you local? Cheers!

Congratulations on your positive result! We still have a long way to go, so be strong and brave for our due babies.

Oh lovely! Seeing the heartbeat is wonderful, I'm looking forward to it.
That's good your morning sickness has eased already; I'm lucky so far that all I have felt is hungry.
I do live in TC, but I'm from Oz. I've lived in HK for about 6 years. Where are you?
Have you decided where you'll deliver? I'm torn between the low cost of the public system and the comfort of the private!

@ K.Kong,

Yeah, it's amazing to hear the little thing's heart beats for the first time parents. You can also see the shape of it looks like a little baby already, cannot explain how wonderful to hear and see the little baby. We live in DB, quite close to Tung Chung too. I plan to go to private hospital for delivery, my friend had her daughter delivered in Matilda, she highly recommended it, said it's very nice and the midwives are really helpful&nice. So I guess I will go for Matilda as well.

Why don't you join our Due date club from Jan-March on Geobaby, I think you will enjoy this social community. Last Friday we had dinner together in Wan Chai medical association centre. Hope next time you can come and join us as well.

Welcome K.Kong!

Will be organizing the next dinner for the Jan-March 15 group in 2-3 weeks. Hope you can make it.
Details will be posted here.

I'm due around March 8. Third pregnancy. First two ended in miscarriage. Hope this one makes it. If I disappear from this forum, you'll know what happened...
So far, the fatigue is quite debilitating; trying to cope with work. Nausea is a constant. But I'm not complaining - at least I know that I'm "still" pregnant when these symptoms are in full force. I do feel especially anxious when I get abdominal aches and pains now and then. It seems so difficult to ascertain when they are par for course (when uterus is stretching) or if it is something worth worrying about... which means that I'm spending a fortune going to the doc almost every week, just to check that it's doing ok! If only there is some service where I can just go for scans, and pay for those instead of expensive doc fees as well!
At any rate, hope everyone's pregnancies go well and smooth!

Hey, thanks for sharing. Best wishes for a happy & healthy pregnancy.
Was thinking you could try Annerley - I think they can do ultrasounds? I know they've got the 3D one, but might be worth checking out.

Thanks K.Kong! Yes I did check Annerly's website but their 3/4D scans are a package deal and are almost as expensive as what I pay in combination for scan/doc fees. For now, I just am looking for constant reassurances that the little one is okay :)
Who is your doc? Have you decided where to deliver?

I will be seeing Dr Edmund Hon in Central (tomorrow!!). He's got a lovely manner and straight talking.
I'm not sure yet about delivery... Thinking I might look at Adventist. I'll check out the packages tomorrow.
How about you?

Exciting! So you will be seeing your little bub! You are about seven weeks? Perhaps will get to hear his or her heartbeat :D

I'm splurging this time (given the history) and seeing Dr Ghosh at Admiralty. He is costing me an arm and a leg - and he delivers at Matilda! I am not covered by insurance and so am forking it all myself. But well, I guess it's the price to pay just to reassure myself.

I've come a long way since the first pregnancy during which I was adamant about going public given the high-quality of the local hospitals and the cost savings! And I think if not for what happened, that is still a very good option I think!

Should be about 6.5we, but not 100% sure on dates as I forgot to mark LMP! Oops! Hopefully I'll be far enough along to see a heartbeat.
I've heard good things about Dr Ghosh, and the Matilda isn't bad either!! Dr Hon delivers there too, so that's an option.
I, too, am not covered by insurance so it's all out of pocket. It's a tough call between private & public, but after my public hospital experiences I would prefer to go private!

Hi All,

I am due mid March. My husband and I are very excited as this is our first baby. We have been in HK for 5 years and also live in Tung Chung. It is so difficult keeping this exciting news to yourself, so it is really nice to have these forums where we can chat and share our concerns and experiences.
