I am pretty new to Hong Kong and was never much a of cook before we arrived, but now I am finding it even harder to come up with meals; mostly because I don't have all my kitchen 'tools' I'm used to (we live in a serviced apartment so I didn't get to bring all my stuff). I usually get most of my recipes from the internet, but now I need some fresh ideas. What is your family's favorite recipe? I have a 19mo son, but he will eat pretty much anything, so please share your ideas. Thanks!

my helper makes a killer chicken & eggplant curry! YUMMY!
if you're interested, i'll see if i can get the recipe.

Hi Carang,

Chicken & eggplant curry sounds great! :yeah2

I want to kill my husband with this!!! If possible, may i have the recipe please.

Many thanks.

i'll ask my helper to write it down for me.... it's WONDERFUL! not too spicy for us, and the more she makes, the more we eat!

Hey, maybe Rani should set up a Recipe section that would make it easy for moms to share favorite recipes, without us having to search for this thread each time...? (Hint, hint!)

That's a great idea. I'm always wondering what to cook and with kids that don't eat sandwiches we have two cooked meals a day so it's annoying!

Will write down a couple of our favourite recipes when i get back from having this thing in my tummy out!

Oh, and for breakfast I make French toast for my son with real maple syrup and he really likes that.

Sometimes I also make oatmeal and I add natural, unsweetened yogurt and pureed apples mixed with pureed figs (I puree them myself). My son likes this a lot.

Oh, one more thing...blueberry muffins....son is into them and they are also easy to make and nice to have for breakfast.
