I'd like to start an informal group especially for working moms in Hong Kong with babies under 1 years old to meet together and share experiences and tips on juggling work and motherhood.

My little one just turned 4 months old and I had returned to work last month. I'm coping okay but it'd be great to talk to other working moms for support and insight.

The idea would be to meet once a month (every first Thursday or Friday) for lunch. It's not on the weekend because we all know how precious the weekends are for moms who work!

We are going to have our first meeting next week in Admiralty. There are four moms interested so far. Please let me know if you or anyone else is interested.
 
Are "not working moms" welcome as well? If so, then I would be interested to meet other moms, too.

Of course Marta. You're more than welcome to join us. Please email me at [email protected] so I can give you details of where and when we're meeting. Since we're having the first meeting in a restaurant, I need to know exactly how many moms are coming so I can reserve a table.

Yes, it was great to meet other working moms. I'll organize another lunch at the end of August. Several other mothers who missed our lunch have contacted me since then. We could try another venue in either Central, Admiralty, or Causewaybay if anyone has suggestions.
 
You're more than welcome to join us. Please email me at [email protected] so I can let you know when we're having the next lunch. It will likely be at the end of August. There are now more than 12 working moms who are interested to meet ... and the group may still be growing!
 
The idea of the Working Moms Group is for new working moms (mainly with babies under 1year) to meet during their lunch hour because we can't make it during the weekday playgroups/meetings and don't prefer after work because we want to get home to baby.

There have been two lunches this month and the location has been at a restaurant in Admiralty because all the moms so far work in Central, Admiralty, and Causeway Bay.

The next lunch will be at the end of the month. So, if there's any working moms out there who are interested, come on board!

There was another lunch after the first one for all the working moms who responded after the first lunch. I will let everyone know about the lunch at the end of the month. But with about 15 moms, the group size might be quite large to gather at a restaurant. Even if not everyone can attend, I found that more than 8 would be too big of a group, especially in a noisy restaurant. Any suggestions or ideas?

Is this working mum group still meeting? I have a two year old boy and we are looking to meet others.
Are there other working mums new to Hong Kong keen to meet?
 
Is this group lunch still on? My baby boy is now 6 months old and I hv returned to work since May. Would like to meet other working mums to share experiences in managing work/family/self. My office is in Cyberport so I would prefer lunch in HK island.
 
I think we need to revive this group. I'm in Cyberport too and know of a couple of other working moms. Have been dying to try the Greek buffet at the Merdien. Anyone up for meeting next week?

Rani, I am on 8th floor Cyberport 1. The Greek buffet is not bad at all. I am availabe next Tues to Thurs and will be on leave until end of this month....so please let me know if lunch is on next week. Thanks.
