I don't know that much about wine and find that there's too much choice to decide which ones to try. Can anyone suggest some good red/white wines to try?

We get our wines from a place called Montrose Wines 2555 8877 if you phone them they are good at suggestions depending on what type of wine you like and how much you want to spend. Ask to speak to James (I think)

I'm not much good with suggestions for red wine but for white wine you pretty much can't go wrong with a Sauvigon Blanc from New Zealand.

I normally go for Chile red, the texture is thick and not expensive. For white, I'd to for Australian.

(Forgot to mention, I'm not an expert though, just my own preference!)

What's your budget? Penfolds from Australia makes great wines - the Koonunga Hill range (they have a red and a white) is not terribly expensive and good quality. Also, you can always go into a wine shop and ask them for suggestions in your price range.

What a difficult but fun question! In HK i tended to purchase more of the Argentinean wines (I can't remember the name now but to tall bottle with 'magic' label from Park n Shop was one). I was reasonable priced and a good everynight wine. Otherwise I tended to stick with what I knew about Australian wines. Even though the prices are so jacked up!
