which formula - organic or traditional?

Hi there
I am mainly breastfeeding. However, I give my seven-month old daughter a bottle of formula at night everyday.

In Hong Kong, I have used "o-lac" due to reflux/wind type symptoms - the non lactose formula.

For the past 2 months in the UK, I used Hipp Organic Follow On milk. Last week after arriving back in HK, continued to use "O-lac" as I have a plentiful stock at home.

I havent noticed any major differences except O-lac is a bit more difficult to dissolve and maybe not satisfying enough for my daughter.

I am keen to go down the organic milk route for this son as this is what I did for my son who has allergies. What is medical advice? How should mothers go about choosing formulas.

Also, is there anywhere we can pick up cheaper priced formula? Happy to buy in bulk if there is a minimum order.

Be really helpful if anyone can bear any light on this topic.:thanks

I did the same, mostly breastmilk with a little formula for the night feed. We used Babynat organic formula, I chose that brand as it contains no added DHA/ARA. Not sure where to get organic formula any cheaper in HK - maybe online? Be careful of buying in bulk as there is a month 'use by' date on my formula - possibly as there are less preservatives in organic varieties.

So you know for future, now she's 1 we're moving onto organic cows milk which is even harder to find! Just 360 and Citysuper, both of which sell out very quickly. Tried to find raw milk and organic goats milk, both of which are good for allergies, but it seems neither are available in HK.

Staff in 360 told me that fresh goats milk is not available in HK at all sadly. They had powdered organic goat milk though.

when i first came to HK you could get fresh goat's milk at GREAT food hall. they stopped stocking not long after i arrived unfortunately (a little over a year ago now).
