Which baby carrier?

Any suggestions for a good front-facing carrier? have been using the baby bjorn but baby is outgrowing it. She is now 8kg. Have heard good things about the Ergo, but see that it is rear-facing. Baby is too inquisitive and wont like rear-facing much. Any other suggestions?

we use Britax - we like it cause the material it's made from is not so thick (our daughter sweats SO much)...they have a good selection at Bumps to Babes...we just got ours yesterday!

We had the same problem, wanted the ergo but bub didn't like facing in.

Once she had outgrown the bjorn we used a portamee.

Baby Carrier, Baby Sling Carrier, Ergonomic Baby Carrier- PortaMEe

It's great as it can be used for older toddlers, you don't need to take a bag on short journeys as it has places for phone/bb, cash and cards, a little bag for nappy/wipes and an insulated bottle holder.

Ours was a gift but I think they ship internationally.

you might be surprised. some friends and I all thought our babies wouldn't like moving from front facing to the ergo but were all fine. It really is a fantastic carrier.

maybe you can try one from a friend first?

think Britax make baby car seats right? not quite what I was searching for, want to get a baby 'sling' carrier.

The PortaMe looks terrific, just wonder if it is going to be pricey...

yes will ask around to see if I can borrow an Ergo carrier. But baby keeps twisting around when she is in her rear-facing Baby Bjorn, it does not bode well...

My son loves the Ergo. I can't carry him on my front because he's too heavy (16.6kg) but when I carry him on my back, he's facing the back of my head but can easily see around my head.

My favirote is the mei tai style, it is front or back. I have the ella roo brand, it has good padded straps. It was a lot less painful that the baby bjorn for my back. Everyone likes different styles. can you borrow a few from froends to see what you like before you buy

Ergo saved my back and great thing about it too is that is that it can then be used on your back when he/she is 2+ yrs old.
