where to go for a night away?

Hi all,
we are keen to take out 14 month away for a night or weekend before the next one arrives in a couple of months. I have no idea if there is such a thing but in Australia (and of course elsewhere) you can find heaps of nice bed and breakfasts, farmstays etc that are nice and relaxed, on the beach etc. If push comes to shove we are happy to stay in a hotel but really want to just get away from the Hong Kong crowds for some peaceful r 'n' r. Any ideas? Not too far from Hong Kong if possible.
 
if you don't mind flying, it's just a couple hours away from Cebu or Bangkok. Within HK, I guess you can also consider GoldCoast or the Disney Resort? Otherwise, Westin in Macau is also nice :)
 
my friend stayed at the Sheraton resort, she loved it. Before then I has never heard of the place....the flight time is less than 2 hours. I think Mr Universe was just hosted there!!!!!
 
with a 14th mth old - club med is really kids friendly. there's a schedule of activities for kids and adults. the package incl all meals and accom Bintan or phuket is good one. Disneyland hotel also surprised me as extremely kids friendly and the area really doesn't feel like HK. We had a great time in both places. Good luck.
