hi there

i'm trying to clear up my wardrobe and found some old but STILL in good condition clothes (pre pregnancy) which i cant fit in anymore. It's a waste to throw it away...so i'm wondering is there a place in HK that i can donate it to? Hubby's clothes as well!

Thanks!

Crossroads Hong Kong

In many places there are clothes "drop-off" boxes similar to a recycling box--in fact they are often located to close to one another. There is one in my parents-in-laws housing complex where I put all clothes I'd like to get rid of.

There is a FANTASTIC ministry in Hong Kong called Crossroads and they take donations of everything from furniture to clothing and household goods and distribute them to the neediest of the needy around the world--they also work with households in HK that need things. When we first moved into our new apartment we had no furniture and they helped us out a lot.

Their offices are in Tuen Mun and depending on the items they also have a pickup service.

Here is the page dealing with clothing:

thanks peeps!

MLBW, i checked out the link provided, apparently, where clothing is concerned, they listed that they prefer new for donation, and that used clothes are "generally not needed".

Oh, okay, Fennho. But do keep them in mind if you have furniture that you need to get rid of--I think that's their specialty. Also things like bedsheets etc.--they are usually in need of those. :0)
