Hi,
Do any of you know a hairdresser in Central or anywehre in HK island who can cut a one-year old's hair. My baby's hair has never been cut and it's quite full so I don't want to do it myself and maybe give him a bad haircut.

Thanks!

Hi,
I took my daughter to Magic Mirror in Lee Gardens II in Causeway Bay (I think MTR exit F?). The seets are all adapted from a carousel/ merry go round and they offer a selection of child oriented videos with a moniter at each station. They also have alot of toys to play with while waiting if you arrive early.

Hi, how much do they charge for haircuts? Any experience you saw with difficult kids or crying kids? What do they do? Are they patient enough? Thanks.

does anyone know if magic mirror still exists? or if any new toddler hair salons have popped up (preferably on kowloon side if possible)?

now that son is starting to look like a boy, i think i better take him in for a proper haircut...

they will also come to your home too if you can organise 5 or more children for them to service at the same time for the same price. Love the service.

Do I need to make an appointment or can i just pop by with my son?

Thanks mummymoo, i don't have 5 children for them to come to my home!

we have a playdate with my DD's classmates and do the whole hair thing. It works out pretty well if I must say so myself. Appointments necessary!

To me, $300 seems a lot to be charging for a baby's regular haircut. I don't even pay that much for my own hair.

For the special occasion of my son's first cut, however, we took him to the Mandarin Oriental Barber, and the price was $290. But it was worth every penny--as the service was superb and they give you a souvenir certificate framed with a lock of your baby's hair. I highly recommend it.

In the end we just went to my neighborhood salon a he had a haircut for $83 dollars....
