Is there anywhere in HK that sells adult women's swim suits in larger sizes? Marks & Spencer doesn't have much of a selection, at least they didn't when I went about a month ago. In the markets you can't try them on... Or is there anywhere online that might ship them in less than 2 weeks?! Help!

Prepare your thick skin though, I went in the other day and she asked if I was "looking for oversize", I'm size 14 UK... big but I'd never thought of myself as oversize before!

Yeah, well, according to Asian body types, I might as well be obese. ;) I have a hard time finding any clothing that fits perfectly.

Did they have bigger sizes available, though?

Thanks for the other suggestions!

ETA: I actually have been looking at the landsend suits for awhile, I just wish they weren't so expensive.

I do already have a suit that works fine, but I was hoping to find something cute for our upcoming vacation. Wish me luck!

They looked like they had a good selection of size 14 and 16 (UK size, I guess) I didn't look closely as I was actually after something for my son and was just a bit thrown by the question and allowed myself to be shown to the "oversize" section!

I heard the people at Sabinaswims are a bit more tactful but haven't been there.

I know what you are taking about jvn before I had kids about 3 years ago I weighted 120 pounds and the instructor at the California Gym told me I was obese and needed to so something immediately to improve my looks.
And not just that, I have straight hair by international standards but every Chinese salon I have visited say "Oh!!! you have such curly hair" and now they say the same for my daughter too.

went over to Ozzie Cozzie today. They have up to UK 16, and some pretty cute styles. Unfortunately, they were more expensive than I was hoping to pay, so didn't buy anything. Ranged from about $900-1,400

$900 for a swim suit??? ridiculous... I would feel bad paying a tenth of that! This is why I miss primarks!!!!!

I haven't seen any suits in H&M, maybe I'm not looking in the right area? And I've looked at Stanley market and the lanes in Central (li yuen st east), but nothing in my size.

I saw a size 38" at Wing On and Sincere department stores in Sheung Wan- and they might have had larger ones too -- worth checking out --they have brands like Arena and Speedo around $300 - $400, currently Wing On is having a sale so some swimsuits were around $230 which I thought was quite good, definitely worth a look and a nice fitting room where you can try them on in peace and quiet, the salespeople were nice too. Hope that helps.

I usually buy swimsuits / underwear etc when I go home. Can anyone send you something? M&S UK do ship clothes to HK. Hope you find something.

If you are wanting something more on the sporty side, then Giga Sports in Pacific Place had some nice ones and a lot of sale at the moment. I got a cute swim skirt for $85 and a tankini top for $150.

Hi, try Sogo in Causeway Bay. Look in the swimsuits section where they have the brands TYR, Arena. Not expensive - been able to get my swimsuits there for about HK$200 when on sale - and am bigger than you!

thanks for the tip about Sogo. I've never spent much time in there, it kind of intimidates me! lol. Maybe I'll go have a look today.

I did go to Sogo today and found a suit. It was on the floor with the sports wear, but you have to kind of hunt around for it, I felt like. I am not really a huge fan of SOGO (intimidating!!) and I had my two kids with me, so I didn't get to look around as much as I had hoped. But like I said, I did find something, and it was on sale for $269. Still a little more than I wanted to pay, but it's a good brand and I think it will last me awhile. Looked like they were having a lot of sales, if anyone else is looking for a swimsuit.

By the way, they had up to HK size 40
