My baby is due in about 2 weeks, and we are expecting him to fly when he is 3 weeks. Would probably need a sort of hand carry type of cot. I have seen a lot that are car seats and cant find any that is lying for very young babies. Anybody can give some recommendation on places and prices? The worst case, I will carry a rattan basket with some cushions.

Why do you need a carry cot? You will not be able to use it on the plane anyway. I flew with both of mine when they were a couple of weeks old, I carried them in a Baby bjorn onto the plane and I was given a bassinet for then on the plane for them to sleep in, I must admit i didn't put either of them in it though as they both slept on my chest for the whole flight from Uk to HK, I found this was easiest as I could sleep too instead of continually standing up to peer into the bassinet!
