Where should we go to celebrate?

We found out this morning that my hubby passed all of his final medical school exams and is now officially a doctor!!! He starts his internship in July. I've arranged for a babysitter on Friday night so that he and I can go out to celebrate, but it's been such a long time that we've gone out, just the two of us, that I don't even know where we should go? Do any of you have recommendations? We don't drink alcohol, so bars are out. We like all types of food and are up for trying new things.

Wow, thats something . While I'm not great with dining out after bubs arrived, at least I can offer you my congrats !! All his hard work paid off !

I know its not original but would you try Spoon ?
 
How about Hutong or Aqua over at the Kowloon side? Amazing atmosphere, food and view of the Hong Kong skyline. On Friday nights, you'll get to see the "lights" (laser/fireworks show) at 8pm, I think.
If you do not want to venture so far, The Green Tea House at Cyberport has a very innovative and interesting menu. I noticed that it's nearer your location.

If you are looking for some place different to celebrate how about taking the ferry from Aberdeen pier to Mo Tat Wan on Lamma (only took 20 mins or so)-- there is a nice Mediterranean restaurant called The Bay over there. It had nice seafood and the restaurant is right on the beach and very peaceful.

Thanks for all of your congrats, and your suggestions. I'll mention them to dh. He did mention wanting to try out Bubba Gumps at the Peak, though. Have any of you been there?
 
I have.Ummm.....the decor and theme is interesting and its a fun place witha good view ( depending on where your table is) , but I didn't think too much about the food. The portions were OK but I wasn't too impressed with the quality of the seafood .

Mind you, I'm speaking as an asian and we have our own thoughts about what seafood should be like, so I may be biased.
 
Congratulations!

I thought that Bubba Gump is more suited for a casual day out with the bub. We've been there during the day. But it is family friendly. Don't know what it's like though at night. I'd vote for Nobu or Spoon at Interconti(?) in TST... the service there is just superb! The view... FANTASTIC! Hubby took me there for Mother's Day and I'm trying to send him a telepathic message for a repeat this year.
