when will they?

Hi
i have a 20month old son and i go crazy when he doesnt listen.
I tell him not to pee on the bed or sofa when he is not in his diapers and he does just that.I have told him a 100 times and he, i think he finds it amusing tojust do what i tell him not to.
Are kids of his age like that?Is it coz he doesnt understand what i say or just acting naughty?

My son sounds like yours but thankfully he does not pee...but whatever I tell him not to do he will...no matter how much I keep on telling him

So now I've started a sweeter approach...no matter how mad it makes me I don't yell or shout I'll just tell him nicely that mama dose not like it when you behave like that...or I igonre him...suprisingly it's working....

Attention seeking? Then ignore him, just like what Rads did. No audience, no show! He should stop after a while.

Or maybe it's wee bit too early to let go of his diaper at this age? My daughter is 25 mths, and she's still on diapers.

think i will try that.hmm..

he also has a horrible habit of sucking his thumb.i tried everything from horribly tasting stuff to plasters on his thumb and putting socks on at night ....biteX from the pharmacy is yucky tasting but we were so surprised ...he din mind that either.
we just dono wat to do..?his upper lips are protruding and so his mouth doesnt close while sleeping.
we r worried.
i tried saying momy is sad dont do tat.he stops gives me a kiss and back to square 1!
i tried being angry too which aggravated the problem.

i haven tried chillie powder yet...but i have no hope it will ork out!

any advice.....i am desperate.............
