When to Apply to Kindergarten?

i've heard that it can be real cut throat when it comes to kindergarten in hk and later with the rest of school. i've even heard of some moms starting the process as soon as they confirm the pregnancy. at first i thought that was a bit extreme but recently i've heard that from a few places. so i'm wondering when should i start this process and does the kindergarten affect the primary school like are there feeder schools?

The majority of Kindergartens take applications only a year or 2 before enrollment.

The two that you can apply from birth are Kellett and GSIS. Both of these are through schools and start from Kindergarten all the way to Secondary.

Thought schools aren't exactly the same as feeder schools, in fact those are two separate concepts. But thanks anyways

Yes feeder schools are different.

Just wanted to mention the 2 schools you apply from birth are thru schools.

How old is your child? Where do you live? Are you looking for a local school or international?

i 'm due in nov. i live on the southside, and i prefer local, but not local local, more like a king's collage or mary mount.
