What is plan B for help...

Well it has come up, I am sick with food poisoning and my husband needs to leave for work. What are available options if we don't want a full-time helper, but need someone to help every now and then... Say when I'm sick and would need someone to spend the night and take care of the children, meals, bathes, etc. when my husband is gone?

Thanks I'll look into them. I hope I Start feeling better soon too. Let's just say I'm having no fun at the moment.

Sorry that you are ill.

For help with the home and your children whilst you cannot supervise, it may be worth calling 'Willis' at 'Bamboos'. http://www.bamboos.com.hk/BamboosMedicalSpecialists.html

You may wish to ask for a health care assistant.
We use the agency. They can send a nursing assistant at very short notice. We often call on the very last minute and they send someone straight away. Your needs are very different from ours, so you need to discuss exactly what help they will provide.
I think that you can state the age of the person if that is important to you.

I wrote the following on another thread;

"It may be worth calling the nursing agencies in Hong Kong. They have trained care asistants who are certified, interviewed and referenced. These women may also have had their own children or even grandchildren. They cost approximately $60 dollars per hour. If you try out some care assistants whilst you are still at home, then you may get a list of supportive help that they may be able to call in, on the last minute. I know of 'Bamboos', but there are others."

Get better soon, Erina.
