What are the types of Beverages acceptable during Preg?

I read from megazines and books saying that Tea, Coffee and Coke are harmful for the baby during pregnancy. I am just wondering if the soda or Pierrier would be classified as one of them? I recently needed Pierrier make the burp out - always needed to expel gas right after each meal. Can anyone tell me if it's healthy?

Tks.

they say that tea, coffee, coke etc is not good because of the caffeine...however, i am hopelessly addicted to coke and drank it all through my pregnancy... my boy is doing great!

They also say that some herbal teas are bad too but I'm hopelessly in love with 'Celestial Seasonings' Lemon Zinger & Wild Berry Zinger. Does anyone know if they're safe to drink during pregnancy? (sorry to hijack your thread precious88)

I think everything in moderation is fine! i NEVER drank coke in my life but with both my pregnancies I craved it so bad I had to drink one everyday! Even coffee! I used to have either a coke or a coffee everyday! Both my kids are fine!

I drank lots of Perrier and soda water (lemon squased, citron presse, elderflower, etc) through out my pregnancy because I hated drinking boiled water. My daughter is 10 months old now and she is fine :) I drank coke occasionally and lots and lots of soya milk!!

Avoid soft drinks before blood test

In my opinion, soft drinks are OK if you don't drink too much. Ginseng drink is a definite no. Stay away from softdrinks just before you have a blood test (testing the level of blood sugar). Once I had coke before such a test and failed in my test. I ended up taking another test, drinking a big glass of sweet-to -death glucose in the hospital. :bump:
