what about bringing to the US for holiday?

there is another thread about bringing filipino helper to work at the US. What about bringing for holiday? I am planning to go to Hawaii in December for a wedding. I am hoping to bring my helper along. I heard we have to open an account in the US for her & give her her salary in that a/c? and there are a lot of other complicated matters?

We are going to US with my baby girl in two weeks'. My helper just got the visa. You just have to apply her as a normal visitor by following the instruction as given, here is the website:

I think it is very easy. My helper told me that they were very nice during interview and only asked serval general questions.

No. there was no request.

so she just got the visa as a tourist by herself. on its website, it doesn't mention anything about financial prove or company support letter (u know, a letter stating that applicant will be on holiday & will resume duties, etc).

so the consulate didn't ask what she does for a living & whether she is on holiday to US, and who she'll be travelling with?

How long has she been working with you? How much do you trust her? How many children are you bringing - do you really need her to look after your child/children?

Our helper disappeared on us just this summer holiday (after more than 3 years working for us). Don't want to scare you.... but please be careful.....
