Week 11 Check at Tsan Yuk

I'm currently in week 8 and will be having my first pre-natal appointment at Tsan Yuk in Week 11.

I am wondering if they will do Down Syndrome test (blood + scan) at week 11, and about the cost involved.

I recently did a blood test (at week 7) at private doctor, and it costed $1500. I'm 37 so it's important to get it done right, but without insurance, it did take me by surprise. So i'm wondering if it can be done at Tsan Yuk.

Advice will be appreciated.

Hi hjk -

You'll be offered the Downs test at your booking appointment at Tsan Yuk. It is free of charge (unless you want a photograph of the scan - they charge for that).
