water filter

I use the Brita water filters AND boil the water for my children. The cartridges only need to be disposed every other month. I bought a bunch at COSTCO when I was in the States, which will last me a couple of years.

Anyone recommend anything other than Brita? I am looking for a filter that can be attached to the sink and that provides good quality water for little ones to drink direct.

I have a filter under the sink on the kitchen tap. Life Solutions. I don't have the contact details on hand but let me know if you'd like me to dig them out.
They come to change the filter every 3-4 months.

well im using amway espring and the filter needs to be changed only every 10 month to a year, depends on the water usage. and the machine has a chip and a monitor which will show the usage of filter and it even beeps to remind you to get it change.

Thanks for the tips. I got a Dolton filter in the end and seems ok. Did not want one that had to be plugged in.

Hi there, i have been boiling my water and all of us drink boiled water. Im wondering if a water filter is still necessary? I live in an apartment which is about 5 years old but im not sure if i will do any damage if i dont filter the boiled water. For those who used Brita, does the filter get really dirty even after filtering boiled water?

Any advice would be much appreciated. :)

Cheers

Curious as to why you all are boiling your water. Boiling will only kill bacteria and other living organisms in your water which any treated water, ie. Chlorinated, shouldn't have unless there is a break in the line or some other source of contamination. It will not remove impurities such as heavy metals and will in fact concentrate them making it even more unsafe for baby to drink if boiled for a long time or more than once.
