My son is 3yrs. old and had been using the Playtex straw bottles but the straw keeps going mouldy inside and it's difficult to clean. With other branded water bottles without straws they tend to leak.
Has anyone come across bottles that didn't leak and is easy to clean?
i use a thermos i bought from sogo. it's a thermos with a straw that pops out when the cover is opened. it's a bit heavy to lug around, but it doesn't leak & keep cold or warm for a long period of time.
I use Sigg. They definitely don't leak. My son managed to drink directly from the bottle without any additional plastic thing (that might get mouldy, I agree with you!) when he was 2years old.
The pipe cleaner that comes with Dr. Brown bottles is a perfect tool to clean the Playtex straw. If I remember correctly, Bumps to Babes sell it separately.
