Washing breast pump

Hi all, I'd like to know what brand of dish soap you use to clean your pump. Currently, I only clean it by putting it into my electric steriliser, but since breastmilk has fat in it, it might be better to put it in soap water first!

I usually used water and the bottle cleanser I had for the bottles, then sterilized all parts after each use.

I don't use mine often but when I do, I use ordinary dishwashing soap. Then before I use them I sterilise.

It was my 2nd child, so just ordinary dish soap First time around, I bought the special baby bottle detergent but second babies make do hehe

nicolejoy) so true, I am also taking it much easier with my 2nd child .. first time I did not use pump at all heh... my helper told me to use special baby bottle detergent and after washing the pump I sterilise it

I c! Heheh, well, this is my first child so it makes sense I am over cautious What brand was that baby detergent/soap?

I use pigeon bottle soap on baby bottles, teethers, spoons and breast pump parts. Can find it at supermarket & mannings etc.
