Originally i had wanted to buy a Moses basket too, however, I had been forewarned by friends that it wasn't worth it as the babies often grown out of the Moses basket within 2 months. In the end, we borrowed a friend's basket, which their son grew out of in 2 months. My son only lasted 6 weeks in the basket, as it was a smaller basket.
If you do buy one, even if it's second hand, try to get a bigger basket so that it will last you longer.
