Want to travel by train or boat

Ladies - I'm in my 2nd trimester and would like to go on vacation in April for 4 to 5 days. Not interested in flying anywhere, so I understand my options are limited. We just want a quiet vacation so we can get away from the hustle and bustle.

Has anyone travelled by train into Guilin or some place closer in China? I'd love to hear your experience.

Has anyone travelled by boat into China? If so, where?

I'd love to hear any other ideas or suggestions.....THANKS!

Sassybaby, if you are asking whether it is safe for the baby, then yes any form of travel is safe in the 2nd trimester. To know more about destinations in China or anywhere else I suggest you post a querry on geoexpat.com. They have a section devoted to travel.
