waking every 5 mins once down

Hi, my 4.5 week old baby has begun waking every 5 mins when I put her down to sleep. This continues for up to 30 mins to 1 hour for day naps and a very long time in the evening (3 hours last night!). She awakens quite suddenly and cries until I go in and rock her bassinet. She's swaddled, fed, burped and elevated so not sure what is causing this. I'm wondering if I've created bad associations with the rocking?

my girl used to do that. with her it was because she didn't go to sleep after i put her down so she started crying. i'd have to pick her up and help her to sleep. i just find that some babies drift to sleep easier than others. perhaps your baby is one that needs a bit of help. but don't rock her till she falls asleep, just when she starts drifting.
