hi, does anyone know of any vegetable farms in hongkong that i can buy fresh vegetables from? not organic ones because they are too expensive, but i don't want to be living on vegetables from china because it's a crazy world up there ... i 'm really afraid my babies will be eating banned industrial chemicals
any idea also where to get local pigs and chicken?

A lot of the vegetable farms and local farms in HK, by nature are organic--the processes they use here tend to be more "old world" than anything else. I live right next to an entire row of organic vegetable gardens and the vegetables aren't really that much more expensive than the ones you buy in the grocery store. I will see if I can find phone numbers and addresses for you. Plus, by buying local, you support the local farmers here which is a great thing to do!

i've also seen fresh pasteurised milk delivery trucks from time to time outside our estate.. too bad i've never noted down their phone no... does anyone of you know about this also? in this way, i think it's also possible to recycle the glass bottles :)
many thanks!
