Used Clothes Collection + Canned Food

Mid Levels / Pokfulam - Old Clothes Collection
A few of us from the Rotary Club of Hong Kong South, are collecting old clothes (in good condition) for the following shelters / missions:

- Bethune House (Food + Women's clothes) ( Bethune House )
- Society for Protection of Children (Children's Clothes) ( HKSPC )
and
- Chungking Mansions Refugee Center (Food + Men's clothes) ( Chungking Mansions Service Centre )

It is that time of the year when the charities / shelters need warm clothing and food for their clients.

We plan on doing a pick up on Saturday, 28th of November

Mid Levels (Caine Road, Conduit Road, Robinson Road) on the 28th Morning
Pokfulam ( Baguio, Belair, Scenic Villas etc) on the 28th afternoon

If you have warm clothes that are in good shape (no dirty / torn clothes please - this has to be dignified ) email [email protected] and we can add you to the pick up list. We would appreciate if the clothes are sorted for men, women and children.

We're are trying to arrange a drop off location in Central - PM me if you have a location or are looking to drop off and I'll make arrangements.

That would be great! Southside residents, contact Chef if you have anything to drop off. She's in Shouson Hill.

So can I have them ready by early next week or does it have to be 28 only
Also can I add purses/shoes for ladies or should it be only clothes.

rani, will it be too late if i bring some with me to the baking exchange? i can go through the kids' closets (as well as our own...) in the next week. i can't do it before then, though.
 
We only have the van on the 28th. Also, one of our members has an office in Wong Chuk Hang. Perhaps you can drop it of there if you're not ready by this Saturday?

Could you email me your address on [email protected] and I'd be happy to put you on the schedule and email you back.

Clothes and canned food for now. We're focusing on the basics.
 
Shri I will be ready with some if not all by 28th since we are in process of relocating
So later on too Im sure will have more which I will drop off myself
But 28th would still like to send some clothes and canned food through your van

hi shri, no way i could get it together by saturday. sorry, i didn't see the posting earlier.

i may see about doing a collection at my playgroup centre. we would hopefully collect a lot more stuff that way. i'm just not sure i have time to organise it...i'll do my best!
 
Carang : Will drop you a line .. perhaps you could just arrange to have the clothes dropped of at Bethune House?
 
will try... like i said, if i send out a letter starting tomorrow morning, all of the kids won't have received it until next Thursday. i would then start collecting stuff starting next thursday....

Cara, let me know if you're going a collection at your playgroup centre. I might be able to drop some canned food off there. It's a lot more convenient for me.
 
i have started sending out notices today to all parents, so i will do a collection at my playgroup... i've asked them to brin the stuff before december 12. (that is the earliest we can do it, shri)
 
I have 4 cans of baby formula, does that count as canned food? I am in Tung Chung tho... is there any way for you guys to pick them up?
 
gladys, my playgroup centre is in tsing yi. if you can bring it there, i'd be happy to add them to our collection. (we are about 2 minute taxi ride from the mtr station)
