Upcoming mums Jan 2011

Hello everyone,

Have any of you booked hospitals yet for delivery? I've been told I need to reserve asap and I'm absolutely clueless! It seems so early having to book in before 12 weeks.
I'm going to see the Matilda, Adventist and Canossa this weekend, has anyone got any experience of these ones? I've read mixed reviews on here for all the hospitals and don't really know what to expect.
The matilda looks really nice on the website but I'm worried it could be really expensive if the 4 bed rooms are all full...

Hi Girls!

Congratulations to all!! I'm new to this thread, due with bubba #2 on Jan 7th. My little girl was born last July at Matilda- these 2 will be 18 months apart, yikes... I highly recommend Matilda, it was such an amazing experience for my husband and I- the staff are wonderful and it was quite luxurious, if you can call a hospital that! I had to wait until week 38 to get my bed confirmed, quite nerve wracking, but this time around, I already got my confirmation. They require a 20K deposit to hold your space. I have friends that have given birth at Canossa, Adventist and Queen Mary and they have only good things to say as well.

I'd love to meet you all sometime! We are out of town for the summer, but will be back in August. Hope everyone starts to feel better and more energized soon!

Due early Jan 2011

I work but am happy to join for lunches etc in Central.

I'm due Jan 27th with my second, and I went through the public system here in HK for my first, 3 1/2 years ago. So when we all get together in July (which I'm all for, since it's hard to do anything these days), I'll share my experience with everyone, if that helps. I know it can be overwhelming to try to figure everything out about how it works in HK, especially if it's your first pregnancy, but don't worry. It IS possible to navigate through all your options, and have a good experience besides! I'm currently a high-risk pregnancy and am going to Queen Mary for prenatal checkups/delivery. And I'm looking forward to getting together and meeting all of you! Until July then...

Hi everyone - I'm interested in meeting up! I'm a second time Mom (13 weeks due January 22nd) and my daughter is 2y8m. I found out about geobaby after my daughter's birth and met a few Moms through this site but it would be great to meet other Moms-to-be during my pregnancy. Please keep me posted about the lunch date. I can meet on Tuesday for lunch as long as it's relatively early - noon? Please keep me posted and thanks so much for organizing!
