I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with hiring part-time tutors for their babies at home. I have to work full time and my baby is now 8 months. He's absorbing so much information now but unfortunately my helper tends to just put him in the playpen so not very stimulating. I'm wondering if there are people out there who come to your home 2/week or so to read books, do flash cards, etc.. thanks.

i've tutored in HK for 10 years. 8 months is too young. the youngest student i ever had was 2 years. we played games, read books, drew pictures etc.

why don't you ask you helper to do more things with the baby. it is her job to take care of your child after all.

you should ask your maid to do more things with the baby. i always asked mine too and she did so willingly. my maid probably taught my son his abc's hehe.

thanks for your comments! My helper is a very very quiet lady and her English isn't very good so that is why i am looking for tutors.. I try to do as much with him when I am at home which is only in the evenings and on weekends
