Tess was admitted to QMH Saturday due to a concern of oncoming premature labour. Drs gave her steroids for the babes' lungs. Tess fought off labour until Monday morning, then not delivering them would have threatened the babies lives.

1 boy (2.2 lbs) and 2 girls (2.1 and 1.65 lbs) born premature by emerg C in Hong Kong around 11 AM February 23rd at 26 weeks and two days. The NICU doctor said their "condition was quite satisfactory" for 26 weeks, but we still have a long road ahead of us. We've already had some mild complications in the first 36 hours but generally okay.

I need to find a book called "Kangaroo Care" by Susan Ludington-Hoe. Apparently it provides a lot of info for parents on dealing with the more humane and psychological side of preemie babies. Does anyone know if this book is available in HK? If someone can help me locate it I can send out our amah or friends to buy it. I can be e-mailed directly at [email protected] since I won't check the site for another 12 hours.

Thanks everyone and please keep us in your prayers.

Charles,

Congratulations!!!

About the book, I've checked the HK libaray and unfortuantely they don't have it. Have also sent an email to Mothers of Multiples to see if anyone can lend you a copy.

Take care and don't forget to update us on Tess and the tripls.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you!
