travelling with 1 year old

Hi,

I need to travel to india with my 13 months old daughter. Really in tension since she is very much demanding and does not like to sit at one place. I took her twice before but that time she was 3 months and 6 months old ... Any tips ???

The only tip I can think of is to make sure the Airlines gives you an exit / bassinet row seat so that you can stretch your legs and don't have to climb over other people to get out.

I can't be sure but try this:
1. Take her favourite toys.
2. the airlines will offer you some playing cards and maybe another board game. Playing cards can interest a 13 month old.
3. carry some colorful books.
4. carry snacks like chocolate and cheese sticks for her to munch
5. try a night flight as your daughter could sleep for a while when the lights go off.
6. team up with another troubled mom on the flight and maybe you can have a small play group. children and happier with other children(so i think)

out of 5 hours be prepared to be on your toes for at least 2 hours, even if you have all the things/toys/books/blah..blah.
Will think of more ideas.

I checked with air line and they confirmed that they are not giving basinet for baby over 6 months because of security reasons ( baby's weight) and the flight will be full since I my ticket got confirmed only 4 days back. I am flying with air india and they said they will arrange special assistant for me from chek in till aircraft, so that he can carry my handcarry.

Ask them for a "meet and greet" service at the destination also.
