Travelling to Oz with 4 week old

Hi there,
Just wondered if anyone had travelled with their baby before their first vaccination? We are thinking of going back to Australia when our baby will be a maximum of 6 weeks old if he comes on time. I've read it's recommended to wait longer than that, at least until the first vaccination, but has anyone done this? We would be going to the Gold Coast and Sydney in Australia. Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks a lot!

We went from Australia back to HK when bub was just 11 days old. She was great! Slept most of the way and didn't catch anything. I was breastfeeding which (so they say) helps with immunity to viruses. I wouldn't see it as a problem!

That's great, thanks a lot vegemite kid. I'm sure it will be fine, we can always have first vax there I guess too.

Sorry, to hijack thread, but I was wondering how on earth did you get the baby's passport in time? Aussie citzenship takes 10 days alone to process and then the passport another 10 (at least that's our experience).

Sorry, just read your post again and realised you travelled from Australia to HK, not the other way.
