Good hotels in Kuala Lumpur

Try Traders Hotel which is only a 5 mins walk from the KLCC twin towers.
If you want connectivity in terms of transport, there is the Hilton KL and Le Meridien. Both are located above KL Sentral (train, light rail & monorail main station).

Mandarin Oriental - great pool right next to KLCC and the park. Also Renaissance Hotel on Jalan Ampang - big pool and nice big rooms at very decent prices - ask for the new wing. Some people choose to stay on the outskirts in a resort called Sunway Resort (20 min by taxi from central) I believe there is a water park there, ice rink, mini zoo etc - all geared up for kids - just google the name and have a look.

I second the Mandarin Oriental- we were there in April when my daughter was 13months, they were amazing. Provided a stuffed toy and books, high chair and the cot in our room. Were great at producing child portions of anything we requested, even provided a packed lunch for her when we left. Kids pool. The location also seemed pretty good, park right outside was excellent.
That being said it was our first trip to KL so not much to compare it to.

Hello! Bumping up this thread to ask - has anyone stayed in a serviced apartment with kids in Kuala Lumpur? Also has anyone been to Sunway resort? How was it??

yes, we were just at the Mandarin Oriental a few weeks ago in KL. It's in a great location, but right now there is lots of construction around it. I would stay in the Ritz or the Westin which are both by the Paragon Mall.
