Traveling with a toddler

We're thinking of heading to Koh Samui for New Years. Will be bringing energetic toddler with us. Any suggestions? Would perhaps prefer villa to hotel, but open minded. Also would like hubby to have golf option, spa for me.

We just got back from Samui on Wednesday. Flew direct with Bangkok Airways and it was awesome. We (Dad, Mum, and 2 years 3 months baby) stayed at the beautiful Samui Peninsula Spa and Resort for a week and absolutely loved it. Highly recommended. Check out http://www.samuipeninsula.net We booked through their representative here in HK and paid just a little more than half of the quoted price. Dad enjoyed golf, Mum spa, and baby the elephant and boat rides. Weather is good, food even better... Just loved it.
