hi mommies

we're planning to make a short trip (3-4days) to Taipei with our 13mth old gal. Major headache is wondering what we should feed her for her meals while we are there. Can we feed her our table food (minus the high-allergy risks ones) cos she has been taking rice, fish, pork, chicken from us for some time. I'm just concerned with the salt/sugar/MSG contents of the foods prepared outside.

Would also be grateful for some recommendations of hotels and places to visit (shopping, sightseeing) that's kid friendly?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi!

We went to Taipei with our baby when he was about 6 months old. I can't comment on the food, because we'd only just started him on solids so we took some jar food.

Regarding places to stay and things to do.. we stayed at the Shangri La Far Eastern Plaza hotel and thought it was good - the rooms were a decent size for him to crawl around.

We visited Taipei 101 which was good (tallest building) and also the Taipei Zoo .. which we didn't like that much compared to Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore Zoo's (which we've also been to).. the kids small farm area was crap! Depends if you've been to many Zoo's before - if you've been to a few you might be disappointed, otherwise you might like it.

We only went for a few days so that's all we saw.

Hope you have a good trip!

Belinda
