Transportation Arrangement for School Afternoon Activities

Hello,

For those parents who have kids attending afternoon activities but the school does not provide bus service, what arrangement do or can you make (besides having the helper to go pick them up)?

I might run into this situation when my little girl attend primary school next year. I would like for her to participate in school's afternoon activities but I know some of the schools (especially ESF schools) require parents to make their own pickup arrangements (there are no bus services for afternoon activities). I am a working mother and my helper cannot leave the house for an extended period of time since there are others to take care of in the house.

i have seen a private minibus that picks up kids after their activities. not sure which company runs it. perhaps you can ask the PTA if they have any info. the only problem is the school says they are not responsible for kids during after school activities and a parent/helper should be be present.

Do you mean either the parent or the helper needs to be present when the kids are taking the afternoon activities?
