Hi - this is totally off topic on families but just wondering what's the easiest way to transfer US funds to a HK account? I'm having a heck of a time setting up a wire transfer at my U.S. bank so wonder if I might be able to just go to HK, set up HKD account at a bank like HSBC and deposit a US$ personal check? How long does it take the check to clear? Or should I set up a USD account at a HK bank? This all seems more confusing than it should be! Much appreciate the advice. Thanks.
