Transfer domestic help from Singapore to Hong Kong

Hello,

we will relocate in Hong Kong in April 2015 and we would like to transfer our domestic helper with us as we are very happy about her.

we believe we already figured out the overall process (can only apply for her when we have a hk resident id + local address) and we already found some answers in other threads (like this one http://www.geobaby.com/forum/thread118908.html).

Now what we did not figure out : while we are in Hong Kong and processing the paperwork to hire our helper (more or less 2 months period), how our helper can legally stay in Singapore ? As she is bound to my employment pass, when we leave Singapore it will be terminated and she could just stay up to one month (to find a new job).

Note that we would like to avoid taking her on a tourist visa from the begining (which isn't really legal anyway).

If anyone had such experience, it would be very helpful if you could share on this point.

Regards

Morgan

I believe most people just send their helpers home while their papers are being processed. Am not sure if Macau is still an option but best to speak the agency you hire. You will need to use an agency.

Thanks rani for your comments.
I went today to check with the agency we used to hire our helper and there is a bit more flexibility than in term of timing for her to wait in Singapore while hk papers get done.
So overall it should be ok.
